GLP is a member of the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA). This is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting its membership and therefore the worldwide community in developing effective packaging, methods and logistics systems that prevent or reduce transit and handling damage during product distribution.
The TRANSIT TESTED program is designed to help shippers of any product reduce transit and handling damage to acceptable minimums. The TRANSIT TESTED program includes preshipment testing, certification and identification.
Testing is done in GLP's ISTA Certified Laboratory according to ISTA Procedures 1A & 1B. When the packaged product has successfully passed a series of tests, a report is processed and an application is made for package certification. Once reviewed and approved, shippers who are members of ISTA may have the TRANSIT TESTED Certification Mark printed on their certified package.
